VERY RARE - late 1950's / very early 1960's - 10 watts - All valve - Black and cream polka dot version. ALL ORIGINAL AND FULLY WORKING. WATKINS ELECTRIC MUSIC (later known as WEM) WESTMINSTER guitar amplifier. This is one of the rare late-1950's / very early 1960's 10w hand-wired valve versions with tremelo - identifiable by the original black and cream'polka dot' covering, and black and gold control panel. The components - including the transformer, speaker, and original blue tremelo footswitch - are all original, and in full working order. No scratchy pots, hissing, crackling or any other nasties. Tremelo circuit is fully functional. Three controls - Tone / Volume (+ On/Off) / Tremelo.
Two inputs (both fully functional). Original UK model (with no voltage switch for 110v - so would need to be used with a transformer, at voltages other than UK 220-240v).

The original black and cream'polka dot' covering is intact, and in near mint condition, with hardly any cosmetic faults at all. It is in superb condition. The gold grill is near mint, with no damage or indentations anywhere. The control panel is also in near perfect condition, with no damage, or wear to the graphics.

The three control knobs are original and fully functional, but missing the gold cosmetic inserts to the top, in common with most of these amps from this era. The blue metal tremelo footswitch is present, and in superb condition.

Original 8 Elac speaker is present, with no recone, repairs or damage of any sort. Speaker chassis is stamped 8N 107, and the cone is coded 621. There have been no'upgrades', modifications or any other nonsense with this amp. It is a superb original survivor. It has a very crisp, clear tone at low volumes, but breaks up beautifully when driven harder, giving a great overdrive sound, at a volume you can live with. The tremelo circuit sounds wonderful at all settings, and is a very useful function. A truly great sounding amp for use in the studio, or at home - and at nearly 60 years old, a great piece of British rock and roll history as an investment. This amplifier will not be cheap to post internationally.
