1950 Vatican Mint Set With 100 Lire Gold B/U VERY RARE

1950 Vatican City State Holy Year Mint Set in uncirculated condition. The set contains the 10, 5, 2 and 1 Lire coins and the 100 Lire in Gold. All five are one-year-only' type' coins. Its reverse design depicts the opening of the Holy Year Door, denomination below in the exergue. The set comes with the original card wallet as issued.

Also included are an envelope and paperwork from Bebee Stamp & Coin Co. Of Chicago dated 1950 which the set was originally sent out with. All coins struck by the Rome Mint.

The 100 Lire is struck in. 900 Gold with a 21mm diameter weighing 5.19 grams. Series coined in 1950 presents on the recto effigies of Pope PIUS XII, still in its original casing with plastic cover (but not FDC) is very well conserved and includes: Lire 1 - VF Lire 2 - VF Lire 5 - F Lire 10 - VG Lire 100 - VF - Gold 900/1000 - 5,19 grams - 14.000 pcs.

Minted Notes: the coins are uncirculated but slightly patinated (as normal). The complete series, WITH the gold 100 Lire coin, in it's original pontificial State cardboard's sleeve, is considered rare.
