Description - Serial #3741122 - ROM mount version to fit any of your Leica R reflex camera bodies - Made in Wetzlar Germany - This is the FASTEST 180mm lens Leica has ever made! The Leica 180mm Apo-Summicron-R F2 R ROM lens has a superior anodised aluminium body with desirable APO glass producing flawless image quality all the way to the edges of the frame. A very desirable lens with top of the line image quality produced in limited quantities, especially in the ROM version! This is a very rare ORIGINAL ROM late batch example. Only 1700 examples every made. This is from the second last batch in 1996 before discontinuing in 1997. 180mm f/2 APO-Summicron-R (11 354). I have had a few of these but NEVER have I had an orignial ROM version with a VERY RARE Black and Silver last generation box. Complete with box, papers and all.
