1977 Godzilla First Issue First US Release-Made In Japan by. This is the VERY RARE and Highly Sought After First Issue of First release 1977 Godzilla!
This Figure has Never Been played with. It is in Brand New Almost MINT condition!!! Absolutely the Nicest example I have ever seen!!

I bought this several years ago from a collector who got it from his Aunt. But for some reason it was stored away and Never Played with. You can also tell that Godzilla's tail has never been applied as it still has a very clean, sharp lip around the inside.

This First Issue, First release Godzilla was actually made by "Bandai" toy company in Japan who subcontracted for Mattel in order to get the toys out in time for Christmas of that year. Subsequent Godzillas are all made by Mattel USA. First Issue Godzilla is molded in a brighter emerald green color some call it an Atomic Green. The airbrushed paint on the face has been primed and is a much deeper and brighter color than on later releases. The subsequent issues of Godzilla are molded in a less sought after dark Moss Green color. This circular impression is from the tube inside that holds the sandbags for the feet. Later Issue Godzilla's do not have the sandbags and are obviously not as heavy. Also Note that the outside of the tail does not have the ridges from Godzillas back fins continuing onto the tail. The first few Godzilla's produced are the only ones who do not have this! In later first issues and in subsequent issues thereafter the fins are present on the tail. Inside of the tail there is a raised lip to help it stay attached to the body of the figure. The Box Text is different as well...... Godzilla is identified on the front as being 20 tall Instead of 19 1/2 Tall. On the side of the box you will note text that reads Comes FULLY Assembled on subsequent issues the text "Tail Requires Assembly" is added. On subsequent issues the text reads "Made and Printed in the USA". And finally the Printers code on the box front reads R6493>P643>2440.
The original insert and original instruction sheet are still present. The colors on the box are still Nice and Vibrant, The box does have several creases from being shuffled around in storage throughout the years so please view all pictures for complete description.
