VERY RARE - 2005 Disney Cinderella Storybook Treasure Box - LE of 2500 - MINT. This piece was commissioned from legendary Disney artist Jody Daily and is made of heavy, hand painted resin, metal, and thick, high quality paper. The original props used by the animators to create the beloved 1950 Disney animation classic, Cinderella, were retrieved from the Disney archives and carefully studied to produce this very accurate reproduction prop, that is also a functional jewelry box.
Ive only opened the box to inspect the piece and photograph it. If you see any white dots in the photos theyre likely tiny bits of styrofoam from the packaging. This is a much larger, heavier, more substantial piece with high art standards from a time 15 years ago when Disney produced high quality, collectible, limited edition art. Just like the book from the animated classic, the cover of this book is covered with gold and colored art from the film and is adorned with a jeweled clasp. The clasp is just for looks and does not actually lock the book shut.
Although this piece is a functional jewelry box, its really intended as a stunning display piece, so the clasp is not needed for that. Opening the book reveals breathtaking artwork from the film and intricate calligraphy with the now famous introduction, Once upon a time.. This piece is big (12 x 9.5 closed and 12 x 21.5 open) and heavy (5+ pounds), so find a large, well-lit spot to display it and Id recommend an accent light to really create a Disney-like experience for your guests, who will be blown away!
This piece is in its original box with all original items, including the certificate of authenticity stating that it's from a limited edition of 2500. This piece has never been displayed and comes from my clean, smoke-free, pet-free home.
