Westbury Deluxe Guitar Near Mint Condition Very Rare 1981 Made in Japan MIJ
Rare 1981 Westbury Model #2218 Ivory Deluxe in remarkable condition. This is a post "Lawsuit" guitar, made in Japan by Matsumoku (AKA Uncle Matt). Note this Deluxe model 2218 has coil splits and a phase switch. This has the passive electronics, not active like the 2218A. Pickups are original Dimarzio "Brick" Super 2, and sound great. Scale is 24 3/4 with a rosewood board, 22 frets, and brass nut. Guitar is an all original, 40 year old "closet queen", and in near flawless condition. Original owner bought in'81, and stored it under bed where it sat unplayed for many years. White has aged to cream color. There are some light scratches and one 1/8 depression on back, and one slight string rotator scratch by the A tuner. Includes original hard shell case. Matsumoku built high quality guitars for Westbury, Univox, Aria, Westone, Electra, Greco, Vantage, Ibanez, Washburn, Cortez, Hondo, and many others.
